China Glaze Summer 2013 collection, Sunsational, is comprised of 6 cremes and 6 jellies in pinks, purples, peaches, blues and greens. I’ve read some reviews on these (some good, some bad), but I love the colors so I had to try them out for myself. Overall the application wasn’t as bad as I expected, it takes a bit of patience and at least three to four coats to not make it look streaky, but if you don’t mind that, you should be fine. The jellies are what you’d expect a jelly to be: sheer. Some are a bit more translucent than others, but in general the jellies’ formula and application were definitely better than the cremes.
I do want to note that neons are extremely hard to photograph, so let’s just say that all of these are much more vibrant in real life.
Cremes
Sun of a Peach: Popping peachy creme
I really love this color, it’s everything you’d want a neon peach to be.
Neon & On & On: Flirtatious pink creme
Bottoms Up: Passionate bubblegum pink-purple creme
That’s Shore Bright: Playful purple creme
Too Yacht to Handle: Teasing teal creme
Think of this as China Glaze For Audrey’s more vibrant cousin.
Highlight of My Summer: Mellow mint green creme
I’m such a sucker for mint and this neon mint, I love! Makes the number of coats worth it.
Jellies
Shell-O: Juicy coral-pink jelly
Heat Index: Enticing pink jelly
You Drive Me Coconuts: Panic causing pink jelly
Are You Jelly?: Vivacious purple jelly
Isle See You Later: Marine blue jelly
Keepin’ It Teal: Totally Turned Up turquoise jelly
Available now.
I see a lot of fun watercolor and jelly designs with these. Which are your favorites?
