I’m trying to stick with my nail art resolutions for the year and that’s blogging and doing nail art more and hey, look! It’s a blog post and it’s going to be about nail art! Yay me 🙂
If you’re on Instagram, you need to follow Californails. Every month she comes up with a nail art challenge that’s spaced out about every 2-3 days so that you can do each challenge prompt when you can find the time to. Often I find myself on track then falling behind and catch up by combining as many prompts as I can into one mani. It works. It counts. I swear, it does.
So of course I’m late again, but I’ve been busy working on some new Serums and shipping out orders, so I think I’m excused.
Here’s my mani for Glitter. For the base I used OPI Love, Angel, Music, Baby from the OPI x Gwen Stefani collab and did a heart French tip using Meep-Meep-Meep, a red jelly filled with tiny micro flakies from the OPI x Muppets collection (by the way, heard it through the grapevine to expect another Muppets collection!). To find out how to do heart French tips, check out my Talonted Tips here.
Now for Polka Dots I used a base of 4 in the Morning and the heart French was with Love, Angel, Music, Baby, both from the Gwen Stefani collab. The dots were done using a dotting tool.
Will you be giving this challenge a shot? My goal is to be able to do Chalkboard Nails’s 31-day nail art challenge, so I’m in training right now! Are there any designs you’d like to see me do a Talonted Tips? Let me know in the comments 🙂
